Children and the questions.

My questions to you dear children.

Why must we start talking before 7 am?

Why do you say mom on repeat even tho you’ve been asked 1,000 times to say it once and await a response?

Why do you continuously ask for breakfast even though you can see me preparing it for you?

Why do you ask the same question 3-10 times as if I might change the answer? Here is a hint, it won’t change.

Why do you take out every toy and only play with each for a minute or less?

Why does it take you an hour and a half to eat dinner are you not hungry?

Why do you tell me you have to go potty when you’ve been going on your own for at least 2 years now?

Also, why do I have to “check your butt”? You have been doing a great job, I tell you this EVERY time.

Why do you ask me to get you something to drink while your father sits right next to you?

Why do you sometimes pass your father in a room to come find me and ask me a question, he has great answers! And uses funny voices.

Why can’t you play with one another without telling me every few minutes who’s doing what to whom? Figure it out.

Why do you get hyper right before bed? It’s been a long day little energizer, run out of gas.

Why must you speak at high volumes? It’s like inside-outside voices don’t register. Is it an “I must be louder than my sibling volume”?

Why must you be so cute and say the darnedest things?

Dear Children…Thank you for bringing a life full of unexpected where the only dull moments are during the hopefully 6, to 7 (if lucky) solid hours of sleep.

Also you are very cute when you are sleeping! And you also have your moments while awake.
