The In-between

I love the way our pastor said it’s like the rip tide in finding Nemo (infinity)

You just join in the current and it keeps on going, it’s been going before you joined, and it will continue to flow after you’ve left.

That is a great vision of this life.
I believe we were chosen to be here on this earth, every one of us is a Child of God because we came to be.  And it says in the bible he knew us before we were born.
Meaning our spirit was already picked to walk on this earth.
Sadly there are also beautiful beings in this world that didn’t come to be and their souls went to heaven before they even made it out of their mother’s wombs, they were still chosen to be here, but their story is yet to be told.

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

We were given this life on earth but we were also given free will:

Genesis 2:16-17 And the Lord God commanded the man, ” you are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”

That didn’t mean they died literally then Adam and Eve went on to live, but they died to sin.  When we sin there are consequences to our sin.  You might see it instantly you might see it years down the road. Know, there are consequences.  Just as there are consequences when we disobeyed our parents given to us on this earth.

Romans 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus

This leads me to the last point.  We are given this one shot at life on earth.  Just as we are given a shot at eternity.  Here is the difference, we are given as many shots as we need to life in eternity.  IF you believe that Jesus Died on the cross to save us from our sins.  Because this life on earth has sin wrapped up in every second of everyone’s life.  That is one busy Satan, However, our Lord Jesus is IN us, when we seek him and when we keep his word, he grows in us and sin dies.  We are Human we will sin it’s inevitable but it’s about recognizing our sin or when we are about to sin, and giving that sin to Jesus.  And waking up to a new day, in which we aim to be pure, shed more light, and beat out the darkness.  Walking with Jesus is refreshing.

John 3:16-21 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.  This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he was done has been done through God.”

So here we are in between the beginning when we came to be, and an eternity that awaits us.  What will you do with that? Life is short and unpredictable.  The best I can do is be a disciple of the Lord.  Enjoy this beautiful world, enjoy the people he has and is placing in my life.  Embrace the joy he has given me in our Children, and reach – each day – to be a person that tries to shine light into the darkness.  To say Speak Lord, your servant is listening.  And to then have the courage to Listen, to Go, and to DO!
