It has been a moment since I’ve posted, to those of you that read my “journals”/ “blogs” I do apologize. I needed to take a moment and get some life priorities straight. But here we are back to it! It’s been a great few weeks, one of which I joined a new group on Facebook where we are doing morning devotional’s from a book called pressing pause- 100 quiet moments for Moms to meet with Jesus by Karen Ehman & Ruth Schwenk, if anyone may be wanting to look it up for themselves!
I just wanted to share a bit from yesterday’s devotional titled: We Have to or We Get To?
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord, you serve the Lord Christ.
(Reward of an inheritance – is a life eternal when you accept Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins)
My biggest takeaway was changing my mindset. I do often say I have to do this or I have to do that. But to start changing it I get to!
I get to put our laundry away today because we are fortunate enough to have close
I get to clean the house because we have 3 healthy toddlers that run amuck and leave tornado size messes in every room
I get to go grocery shopping because it will help nourish our family for the week and we are fortunate to have food on our table and to pack lunches for school.
Thank the Lord for all of his provisions!
