Probable Possibilities

Probable: Likely to be the case or to happen.
Possibility: A thing that may happen or be the case. The state or fact of being likely or possible.

Positive Probable Possibilities

One side of my personality lives in this bubble of…
There is something on the horizon of your life. It’s probable to become a thing.
The possibilities are out there. You’re almost positive it will happen…

Make it happen!
Often, we tend to get in our own way (she says from experience)
Fear and doubt of the unknown always tend to hold us down.
There is a movie out there (adorable) Called We Bought a Zoo. Fair warning it’s sad, but a beautiful sad.
The father says to his son.

You know, sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, just literally 20 seconds of embarrassing bravery, and something great will come of it.

Benjamin Mee – We Bought a Zoo

There are a lot of times in life I’ve lived this to the fullest. Especially when it comes to moving to a new place, or trying something new. Like being a Sous Chef, Moving to a Foreign Country, or Repelling down a waterfall…to name a few. These were all things that I kind of just jumped right in without looking back.
If ever I found myself nervous I’d just pretend like I was playing a part. I was an actress who got a role, this role lasted for x amount of time and I had to give it my all, and adapt to play the part. It took the nervousness right out of life. It turned it into a fun and exciting adventure.

These probable possibilities became real-life events, events that made my life so much more rich and colorful. I was able to explore a lot of places and make many a friend who impacted my life in some way.
Take that leap of faith if there is something you want to try hold onto that 20 seconds of courage and take the first step, and make it happen!

Pensive Probable Possibilities

Then there is the flip side of my personality…the doom and gloom side.
The side that pensively thinks of all the worst-case scenarios then starts to spiral into the probable possibilities, of terrible outcomes. I don’t know what triggered it, the start of these thoughts in my life. Was it losing a loved one at a young age? Watching those around me perfectly healthy get cancer and lose that battle too early? Having children and being paranoid to leave them… are just a few examples of my fears. Fears that keep me up at night plummeting to worst-case scenarios the instant I feel a twinge of something off within. When it comes to health, and, I’m fairly healthy. I tend to turn on the fear switch instantly. Whereas Adventurous Emily tends to live in a land of dreams, Health Emily tends to live in a land of nightmares.

How come in one area of my life I can live so boldly with minimal to zero fear?

How does one get out of the pensive and back to the positive in all aspects of life?

These Things Help…

Be Bold in Christ and He will give you bravery.
I always knew the Lord was with me, no matter where in the world I was, whatever I was doing, I could rely on the fact that he was there. I carried on in bravery knowing no matter what, He had my back.

Therefore, I should have that same train of thought for my health. No matter where I am in the world or what I’m doing, no matter my health, the lord is with me.

Stop waiting for the other shoe to drop (me currently).
The devil takes your weakness and exploits it, he brings it to the front of all things and waves it around saying, pay attention to this, if you’re paying attention to this, you won’t focus on the One who can bring you healing.

Quit waiting for the other shoe to drop, Tie both of those shoes up tight, and don’t give the devil the satisfaction of stealing your mind. Run away from his distractions, run to the truth, which is found in Christ Jesus.

Focus on your breathing.
I love focusing on my breathing. It’s known to calm anxiety, and I meditate on the fact that I wouldn’t have my breath if it wasn’t for the breath of my Father in heaven. He spoke and we came to be. Without Him, we are nothing.

At the end of it all, after all the probable possibilities of our lives have played out, one thing stands.
The Cross on which Jesus died to save us from our sins. No matter this journey here and now.
If you believe that Jesus Christ Died on the cross to save you from sin, we will all be together again.
That’s a sure-fire thing!
